In 1973, I chose to leave my corporate job as a technical writer to become a gardener. Since then I have been self-employed, doing mostly maintenance. Gardening is not like working on the Polaris missile, which I did; rather, it brings order and beauty into the world. Being self-employed is not like working for a corporation that seeks profit at any cost that does not affect its bottom line. Making your yard look good is my main concern.
In 1993, at age 55 after a long hiatus, I resumed my primary activity -- music. I experimented with a sequencer and computer recording for a few years, finally settling on what I do now. I play jazz on an acoustic piano and, if any recording is to be done, let someone else do it.
Using a sequencer, I recorded The Visitor.

That day at KKUP was rather unusual. From an email to one of my customers, go behind the scene.
From last summer at KKUP, Petulant Rose.
